It had huge teeth and a gaping mouth. It stared me with dark beady eyes. I felt the hair raise on the back of my neck as a wave of terror swept through me. I slowly backed away, trying to avoid eye contact. A low growl could be heard the second I stepped away. I froze. Then I tried again, to slowly back away. The beast growled again, even louder. Then I decided to make a run for it. Sending dirt flying, I speed off in the opposite direction from the beast. I glanced back. I though I lost it because I saw nothing following me. Then I saw it crashing through the foliage after me. I turned back around to sprint again then tripped and fell on my face. I turned just in time to see the beast leaping at me with his razor sharp claws extended toward me.
